Sakar Sapkota holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University. His areas of interest and knowledge include migration, climate change, governance, social inclusion, labour rights, addressing humanitarian crises, and sustainable development approaches, with a particular focus on promoting local and indigenous knowledge. With over five years of research experience, he has visited more than 70 districts in Nepal, gaining a nuanced understanding of the country’s diverse societies. At Baha, he engages in both qualitative and quantitative research on various social issues and human rights issues, primarily labour rights and migration, informality, and job market status. His passion lies in sustainability practices, and he is committed to advancing the field through rigorous research and practical applications.
